Weight Issues

Here are some of the common beliefs  that contribute to weight issues:-

  • Feeling unworthy and unloveable
  • Eating the wrong kinds of food too oftenfruit veg
  • Eating too fast or too much
  • Too much alcohol
  • Stress
  • Unhappiness
  • Loneliness
  • Medication
  • Under/over-active thyroid
  • Lack of excercise

Did you know that when we are anxious, (even if we aren’t conscious of it), the brain sends the same chemical response throughout the body as if our life is threatened?

The body starts using the immune system to fight as if it were being chased by a wild animal or enemy. This costs us energy and health. As our immune system is weakened, we become more tired and vulnerable to illness of the body as well as depression.

Fat is retained as a protection against hard times in the primitive brains memory. This is especially so if we yoyo or starve to lose weight.

As we become angry and hateful at our own physical appearance, food becomes more and more part of out emotional payoff system. Anger etc. invokes a child’s response of ‘fear and rejection’ and not being good enough to be loved. We then eat more to comfort this terrible feeling of rejection.

That’s the bad news… Here’s some good news…

Through your beliefs and thinking, you can alter the state of mind and body you are in and your general attitudes.

How often do you say words like: Should, Could, Would, Try, Might, If only, Maybe, Perhaps? These word show a halfhearted, uncommitted state of mind.

You either do something or you don’t. The more you think about doing things, the less you are doing them.

The solution to most of our concerns is to know what we want and then how to obtain it through positive thinking and right action. Everything else is a waste of time, indulgent or self-delusion!

Hypnosis is a tool for allowing communication between the ‘subconscious’ and the will. Our emotions and the patterns we have developed over our lives are habitual there and not easily changed. Hypnosis creates a channel of communication for us to assert our realistic will.

That’s all but that’s actually quite a lot!
