In 1984 a GP surgery in Hampshire invited me to use my skills to help some patients with IBS as there was good evidence that hypnosis had a positive effect.
Today, after 30 years of practice I am happy to say that several clients that came to see me for help with IBS are free of their symptoms.
For those who experience anxiety-based IBS, hypnosis and psychotherapeutic tools may teach you to relax, be calm and confident in social or work-related situations.
Panic is often a part of IBS symptoms; again an anxiety based response. You can over-ride those rusty habit-based circuits responding to reality in the present rather than past based memories.
